President Clare Cody and VP Sam Spooner attended as special guests of Surrey Federation & were warmly welcomed as representatives of Surreys newest WI.They enjoyed the talk by Michael Portillo & the opportunity to talk to other WI members from across Surrey. |

MAY 16.05.15 Butterflies first Inter WI Quiz Evening. Great fun was had by all we were delighted to welcome teams from Eastwick WI, Reigate Evening WI, Great Bookham Belles WI, Mole Valley WI & Bookhams WI | MAY 20.05.15 The WI inspiring women for 100 years. A specially designed Baton began its journey on 1st Jan 2014 , travelling throughout the 69 Federations to finish in June 2015 at the Royal Albert Hall. |
JUNE 02.06.15 Wonderful women from all over GB united under the flagship of the WI celebrating the WI centenary at a Buckingham Palace Garden Party. Our Butterflies representative was Caroline Tombs. | JUNE 19.06.15 Butterflies help serve Tea & Cakes at Bookham Barn Hall for Village Day. |
JULY 19 .07.15 As part of our celebrations of 100 years of the WI the Butterflies with a few friends met at Golding Wharf for a Victorian horse drawn barge "IONA " trip with cream tea. The weather was perfect , as we set off with our heavy horse "Buddy" on the tow path pulling us along the river Way. Our journey took us past beautiful scenery as we enjoyed our cream tea. | September 05. 09.15 Our Buckingham Palace trip started at the Queens Gallery , where we were all blown away by the fine detail of the paintings. Next stop was the Royal Mews. After lunch we entered the Palace via the Grand Entrance , where Presidents and dignitaries had been before . The theme at the palace this year was "State Banquet". We finished our day with afternoon tea in the Buckingham Palace Gardens. |
October 10.09.15 Eight teams battled it out at our first family and friends Quiz Night .Scores were very close but congratulations to the winners "The Misfits ". Everyone enjoyed the evening and dined out on a delicious fish and chip supper.A charity raffle on the night raised £150 for Sight for Surrey. | October 16.09.15 Photographic course at Polsden Lacey. Eddie Hyde was a fantastic tutor who enabled everyone to improve their skills and knowledge. |
November 2015 Two groups of 12 BBWI members visited the Tower of London for the Historic event of "Ceremony of the Keys" The whole evening was surreal and atmospheric. All enjoyed an amazing night out. |
